The power plant generates electricity at both the front and rear of the modules, i.e. on both sides. In this way, maximum yield is achieved on the same surface. In particular, the surrounding surfaces reflect sunlight, which then strikes the back of the module and is converted into energy. The modules are also known as bifacial or bifacial (from the English "two-faced").
Use your existing fence to generate electricity
With the solar system as a complete package, you can make the most of your existing fence and put previously unused areas to a new, optimal use. Existing privacy screens can simply be left in place.

Take advantage of the location
Using vertical surfaces to generate energy opens up additional use cases, even where space is limited. Thanks to the vertical structure, high yields are achieved even when the sun is low. This means that renewable energy production increases even during the winter months. All year round, the morning and evening hours, when energy needs are highest, are particularly well served. A fenced-in power plant is therefore particularly well suited to private electricity generation to compensate for periods of low output from the roof system.
Bifacial modules impress with their front and rear photocells. This results in up to 25% higher yields due to the reflection of the surrounding surfaces. The so-called albedo effect is used here. This indicates the luminosity of surfaces, which in turn influences their ability to reflect. Basically, the brighter the surface, the greater the reflection.
Note on wind load
If ZaunPV is to be used, the double-bar fence must be sufficiently stable. We recommend using hot-dip galvanised steel posts with standard concrete foundations 80 cm deep. Such point foundations are generally used for double rod fences with privacy strips.
